We have great exciting news.  Lucy Ilene Hinck was born to Bryan & Suzi on January 16, 2015.  She wasn’t supposed to be born until about the end of February, so like her cousins she was also premature; however, only 5 ½ weeks early.  She weighed in at 5# even.  She had to spend a few extra days in the hospital, but never needed any oxygen, and has been nursing well.  They were able to take her home Thursday, January 22, only six days after birth.  Friday she had her first doctor appointment and was back up to her birth weight.  Bryan had two weeks of paternity leave so he has been able to be at home with Suzi and Lucy.

Suzi completed her Masters in Nutrition program in November.  Thursday, the day before Lucy was born, Suzi took and passed her board exam to be certified as an RDN.  She was planning to not start working right away and now has the time to spend with Lucy.  By spring, she will start looking for a job position.

Bryan is half way thru his 3rd year of urology residency (3 of 6 years).  This year is not as intense time wise as last year.  He is still loves the program.  Next year is the year that he will be doing research work, so will not have any call.  That will work out very well for them with the growing Lucy.
