Peter & Sarah

This last July, Peter and Sarah moved their family to Traverse City, Michigan. This has given them the opportunity to be closer to Sarah’s parents (who live about an hour away in Cadillac, MI). Sarah has been able to return to work, part time for now, as a physical therapist at the hospital in Traverse City. Peter still is working for Barr Engineering here in Bloomington, MN. He works mostly from their home in Traverse City but has to come back to Minnesota once in a while. Last fall, he brought Jonah with him the first time and Greta the second time. This winter, travel with the kids is more complicated so they have stayed home.
Jonah, now 4 ½, started preschool in Traverse City in September, and goes there four days each week. This was big change for him from his last year of “Greta lock down”. Playing with new friends and having awesome teachers has been very good. Downside of course is that he is exposed to all of the germs that the others share, and so brings home more of the colds. No surprises for all of you parents who have experienced this in your own families.
Greta, who will be 2 yrs old in just a couple of weeks, is doing well. She has been off oxygen since last March. She still has feeding problems, and is slowly learning to swallow and take foods by mouth. She still needs her feeding tube for a large portion of her calorie intake. Peter & Sarah have been taking her to a feeding clinic twice weekly to work on swallowing exercises. She has been growing, and is certainly been very active running around and talking up a storm.
