Our 2008 Epiphany Newsletter

z Dear Family & Friends z

Every year seems to get more complicated.  I’m not sure if that is just one of those truisms, or if it is because I’m getting older and just having a to work harder at keeping track of all of the different issues.  You will notice, that this year like last year, we have given up the pretext of getting our letter out before Christmas.  Epiphany just seems to be the calming focus for us.  We have enjoyed reading your letters and looking at pictures. Words from the second stanza of the hymn “ O Morning Star, How Fair and   Bright” seem most pertinent now.

                                   “ Come, precious diamond, light divine, and deep within our hearts now shine;

                               there light a flame undying.  In your one body let us be as living branches of a tree,

                             your life our lives supplying.   Now, though daily earth’s deep sadness may perplex us and   distress us, yet with  heav’nly joy you bless us.

Here are a few highlights from our family.
