Our Mothers:   Verna   and Elda

This past year we and my siblings helped my mother, Verna move into Augustana Apartments.  There she has her own apartment with some added on services.  Verna had to under go surgery in May, but is recovering well.  She has lost ground in the memory department, but always is very friendly and  welcomes visitors.  We can still coax her into playing the piano and occasionally an organ piece.

Judy’s mom, Elda is living in the assisted living apartments at Crestview. The picture above is at her 85th birthday celebration with her two sisters and brother-in-law. She had a rough spell in November, fell but thankfully didn’t break anything.  She needed to go into the care center for about a week and then back into her apartment with live in assistance for another week.  Judy & her sister Lynn took her to see the stage production of ‘The Sound of Music’ as her big outing just before Christmas.
