Peter & Sarah

Peter continues his work at Barr Engineering.  He gets to work on interesting projects that take him out into streams and flood restoration areas and then exercise his brain with computer modeling.  Sarah has been very busy with teaching and program development as a senior physical therapist at Courage Center.  Jonah is now 2 ½ but when you ask him how old he is he says “5”.  He keeps coming up with new vocabulary words, currently really loves “Thomas the Train” and things related.

Peter and Sarah are expecting their second child, a girl due in May.  Early January they found out that the baby was growing more slowly than expected and was at serious risk.  As a result Sarah has been on short-term disability, stepping aside from her position at Courage Center to be at home and “take it easy.” Monday Feb 4, at 26 weeks, Sarah was admitted to the hospital for close monitoring, trying to extend the pregnancy as long as possible, or until the baby is showing signs of distress and then do a C-section delivery.  If she makes it to 28 weeks that will be great, and longer if possible before needing to be delivered.  Premature delivery is certain, but Peter and Sarah are experienced with that.  Please keep them in your prayers.
