Judy

Judy has made the transition of the grandkids moving away pretty well, but is certainly missing them. We have been able to see them about once a month since August through December, either with Pete bringing one of the kids with him, or our going to see them. Face Time calls help, but not like the real thing. We are going out to Michigan in February for Greta’s 2nd birthday so that will be almost two months from the last time we saw the kids. She is going out to help Bryan & Suzi with Lucy the first week of February.
Judy had a total right knee replacement at the end of October 2013. I don’t think that she would say that she is “glad” to have done it yet, but it is getting much better. Her walking speed is almost back to what she was doing before surgery.
Judy continues to do her work as a Guardian at Litem for the Hennepin County Child Protection department. It continues to be the right volunteer work for her. She is still managing three families of kids at this time. She will be able to expand her load as she feels that she has the time. Having the flexibility has been very beneficial.
